Commercial Sound Services
Our Founder, Mr. Don Sneed started working for local movie theatres in 1970 as a projectionist in Galveston & Houston, Texas. In 1980 Mr. Sneed began his Technical Services career working for Radio station KILE-AM in Galveston Tx, TV Station KHOU-11 CBS, TV Station KRIV-26 Fox , TV Station KTRK-13 ABC TV Station In Houston Texas to name a few.
Mr. Sneed also serviced the Famous RCA-TP66 16mm Over-The-Air TV Film Projectors, with the notable distinction of being 1 of only 8 technicians in the USA qualified to service TV Film Projectors before the era came to an end in the 1990s due to digital video technology.
Mr. Sneed Worked as a Cinema 35/70mm Projection & Sound Engineer from 1980 to 2018, working for such companies as:
- GE (Cinema & TV Division),
- International Cinema & Sound Service,
- RCA (Cinema & TV Division),
- Universal Cinema Services (Cinema & Studio Division),
- CPAS Amusement & Theme Parks Sound System For Rides
In 1998, Mr. Sneed temporary closed the business & went to work for Universal Cinema Services in Arlington, Texas to further his knowledge in the new Digital age of Movie Theatres. Mr. Sneed traveled the world installing Movie Theatre projection & sound equipment in the Caribbean, Guam, Italy, Japan (where he met his current wife Kimie), Nigeria and throughout the USA coast to coast.
In 2006, Mr. Sneed started Commercial Sound Services in order to serve the needs of quality sound for all types of businesses and churches.
With over 40-years experience in the audio field, Commercial Sound Services has installed and serviced all types of sound systems from small portable systems to very high power systems for:
